Trevor Floreani, P.Ag.
Trevor has worked with the provincial government as a Rangeland Agrologist (PAg) with Alberta Forestry & Parks since 2018, based out of Fairview, managing agricultural dispositions on public land, with the focus on grazing in boreal mixedwood and Peace River parkland environments. Prior to this, he spent time as a research technician with the NAIT Centre for Boreal Research stationed in Peace River working in upland forest reclamation, working across northern Alberta. In his spare time, Trevor helps coordinate the annual Alberta May Plant Count with the Alberta Native Plant Council and Nature Alberta, which tracks flowering phenology across the province. Trevor is also serving as the President of the Board for the Agroforestry & Woodlot Extension Society (AWES). Born and raised in Grande Prairie, Trevor quickly returned to the Peace Country upon completing a geography degree from the University of Calgary, and has been fascinated with the native flora of the region ever since. Trevor is the first to tell you that he is by no means a taxonomical expert, but he's beaten around a few bushes and isn't afraid to dive into a plant book to try figure out what he's looking at.
