Programming for Educators

The Boreal Wetland Centre (BWC) is a resource for educators in Grande Prairie and the surrounding region. Bring your class or group out to the site to enjoy a self-guided tour or connect with one of our user groups to learn about the education programs they offer at the BWC 

An education charity bringing environmental and natural resource education to life. They deliver programing to local schools May, June, September and October and subsidize busing. Contact Terri Murray for more information.

A local group offering tours and programs based on interactive and adventurous learning for elementary and middle school students. Contact Johanna Uhl for more information.

Multi-sector not-for-profit promoting sustainable watershed practice. They deliver wetland, riparian and watershed management programing and tours to schools. Contact Adam Norris to arrange programing. 

An annual educational event held in May for Grade 6 students featuring educational presentations by Canfor, Weyerhaeuser, Norbord and more. For more information, contact GPESES.  

The Wetland Center of Excellence is a national program hosted by Ducks Unlimited Canada. The program is led by High school students undertaking projects to protect the environment and learn. Grant funding available, contact DUC for more information.
